Threads releases its take on the Starter Packs concept from Bluesky. Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri about this update explains that groups of recommended profiles will be suggested when users start following topics and as part of Your feed.
Interestingly, Threads doesn’t seem to have a name for this feature. But it’s not the first time Threads has embraced an idea that came from rival Bluesky. Customization is the last concept that migrated from Bluesky to the Meta-owned social media network.
Bluesky knows how many of its features have debuted in Threads. Last month, when the Meta platform first announced that it would have its own take on Starter Packs, the company caught up with its rival with its Threads account. The two platforms were vying to draw in previously untouchable users of X (aka Twitter). Bluesky reached users in November, while Threads reported enrollment that month.
