As spotted by a Reddit user this weekend, Panic is now selling a yellow macaroni charging brick that comes with a yellow cable that comes with a separate yellow Playdate. It is also yellow. The good news for anyone looking for a complete set of matching accessories is that it’s only $5 – the bad news is that shipping costs about twice as much as the cheaper ones, so it’s hard to justify buying it yourself.
Also note that the 10W power adapter has a USB-A connection so it will work with your existing Playdate charging cable, but otherwise it’s kind of behind the times considering the usual switch to a USB-C connection. Currently, Panic only sells a version that is compatible with the standard 2-prong plug type in North America and Japan. It is clear that he does not exist at all requirements this – our Playdates have been charging well without it so far – but if you’re already on the site and you get a case of pizza as it’s back in stock, rest assured, it’s bad.
