One Side
The 43-year-old Pulev showed off his rookie pedigree, using his jab and jabs to taunt the rusty Charr throughout the fight’s rounds. It was pure dominance from 2008 Olympian Pulev, who still has his skills intact.
Charr took a lot of punishment in this fight and looked punched in the face in the tenth round. He looked like he went through a lot of trouble taking all of Pulev’s hard shots, as well as some good jabs. Pulev, 6’5″, has always had an outstanding jab, and still does. He was using that as a power shot tonight, nailing Charr over and over again.
Points

– 116-112
Charr made the mistake of using Pulev as his first opponent two years out of a job, and in retrospect, he should have picked the easier one.
It will be interesting to see if Pulev can turn his ‘regular’ WBA heavyweight title into a big pay day against the winner of Tyson Fury’s rematch against Oleksander Usyk. That would be a dream because the money would be nice for Pulev. A game against Jake Paul would be great.
