Got plans for Valentine’s Day next year? Apple hopes you don’t plan to see Captain America: Brave New World or go on a date, because there’s a new movie coming out that weekend—that’s what it’s called gorge, and I hope it will be a movie that appeals to all couples on a lovey-dovey day.
Directed by The Black Phone again Doctor Strange Scott Derrickson, the film stars Miles Teller as Levi and Anya Taylor-Joy as Drasa. They are elite snipers in their countries, and they are towers on opposite sides big the ravine. Their mission, they spend a full year using their skills and high-tech equipment to keep watch and prevent…something below from the exit. Down in the canyon, they are told, and ordered never to contact each other. Yes, they end up going to contact each other, forming a distant relationship that could be something else, if only they could get closer.
But first, they have to complete the rest of their work, which is difficult to say the least something down when it starts to rise. Eventually, Levi and Drasa are forced into a canyon, and must rely on each other to escape, if they can. Derrickson previously told IGN that this will combine elements of romance and sci-fi with “action, spy thrillers and even horror,” and he may not be wrong. It looks like there’s a little something for everyone here, and it has a neat hook behind it. I hope it’s not just all talk and works as a love story and creature feature.
