A freelance journalist and photographer were attacked by masked men in Georgia

A TV reporter and photographer were attacked by masked men while covering pro-EU protests in Georgia.

Journalist Maka Chikhladze, from the pro-opposition TV channel Pirveli, was violently thrown to the ground, while cameraman Giorgi Shetsiruli was kicked in the head on a side street in the capital, Tbilisi.

They were speaking on the 10th night of major EU protests that took place in several cities. The protests are a response to the fact that the Georgian government is increasingly trying to stop the process of joining the EU.
