The LPGA Tour’s biggest star, World No. 1 Nelly Korda, had her biggest year yet in 2024, compiling a streak of victories including her second major title at the Chevron Championship.
In all, Korda won seven LPGA titles during the 2024 season, nearly doubling his career total to 15, and 11 top-10 finishes overall. Now we know that all that success landed her in the top 10… as one of the 10 highest paid female athletes in 2024.
Sportico.com recently released a ranking of the world’s top earners in women’s sports, and Korda was ranked 8th, in terms of estimated earnings. $14.4 million.
That money includes $4.4 million in course earnings from his flood of victories, and the rest from endorsements.
While Korda’s total is impressive, especially given the small size of LPGA purses compared to PGA Tour purses, it pales in comparison to the top earner on the list, Coco Gauff.
Gauff, the 20-year-old American tennis star, has combined $9.4 million in court fees and $21 million in endorsements for a total of more than $30 million, according to Sportico estimates.
Interestingly, Sportico also records that WNBA star and avid golfer Caitlin Clark is making $11 million in 2024, just $1 million more than Korda.
And Korda isn’t the only top golfer to make an appearance on the list. LPGA pro Jeeno Thitikul comes in 12th, thanks in large part to his $4 million payout for winning a CME Group Tour tournament. LPGA veteran and 2024 Olympic gold medalist Lydia Ko comes in at No. 15 on the list, with $3.2 million in course earnings and $3.5 billion in earnings.
For perspective, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler matched Korda’s total of seven victories in 2024. His total income from school? It’s over $62 million.
