Fortnite is getting a 5v5 first-person shooter mode

A new game mode called Ballistic is coming Fortnite in early access on December 11, which brings a 5v5 first-person shooter experience. In Ballistic mode, one team will be tasked with planting a Rift Point Device – which will detonate 45 seconds after being placed – while the other team will have to prevent that from happening. There will be one map (Skyline 10) to start with and a limited selection of weapons and items, but more will be added to the line in future “major updates,” according to the post.

“Ballistic is an undeveloped mode,” said the Fortnite team. “All presets saved in your Locker will carry over to Ballistic, which supports existing Fortnite Clothes, Back Blings, Kicks, Wraps, Sprays, and Emotes! Pickaxes, Contrails, Tools, Vehicles, and Jam Tracks are not used/supported.” If you are discharged during a cycle, you will not be able to reproduce. But, he will be back in the next round. The roles of the teams will change after six rounds, and the game will end when one team has won seven rounds. You will be able to play Ranked or Unranked.

Ballistic mode will be available everywhere you play Fortniteexcept for South Korea and Russia, but the group says it is “working to make Ballistic available in both regions.” Since it’s early access, player feedback will be used to improve the experience as it develops.
