OpenAI kicked off its “12 Days of OpenAI” livestream series with the announcement of a new, premium class of its flagship chatbot. ChatGPT Pro comes with access to GPT-4o, o1-mini and the company’s Advanced Voice mode, but the reason most power users might be spooked is the addition of o1 “pro mode” which gives the chatbot more computing power to think. for more complex problems. “In tests from external expert testers, the o1 pro mode produces reliable and comprehensive answers, especially in areas such as data science, programming, and case analysis,” OpenAI said about the feature.

In the future, OpenAI says it will add “powerful, computational productivity features” to ChatGPT Pro, with some of those improvements coming as soon as this week and next week as the company continues to show off what’s been working. in the last 11 months.
