Honorable Turki Alalshikh says he has “dreamed” of doing a rematch between Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury since 2015. However, a rematch will only happen if Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) defeats defending champion Oleksandr Usyk. December 21st.
Turki wants Wladimir, 48, to have a chance to break George Foreman’s record from November 5, 1994, when he knocked out Michael Moorer in the tenth round to become the champion at the age of 45. Wladimir turns 49 on March 25. It would be nice for Klitschko to get a chance to avenge his loss because Fury never gave him a rematch.
The Downfall of the Gypsy King?
He should have given Wlad a duplicate, but his own mental health is solvable after his win. He celebrated a lot and stayed out of the ring until 2018. No wonder Wladimir quit and retired. The repetition does not seem real. Fury will NOT beat Usyk this month. If not, the referee on duty on December 21 will save Tyson this time with an absurd eight count; syk may be removed.
The chances of Fury defeating Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) in their rematch this month are slim. While many boxing fans believe Fury can win, smart minds see it as a mismatch. The Gypsy king is very old, he looks 36 years old, he looks even older than Wladimir. Fury looks close, about 50, and that’s being kind.
Fury’s diet, and apparently most of it, is just plain genetics. Some people age faster than others. His father, John Fury, looks much older than 59, and Tyson is his spitting image. He looks exactly like Pope, and that means he has no prayer against Usyk in their December 21 rematch at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.
“I want to see this fight give a chance if he agrees to give Klitschko the chance to become the oldest heavyweight champion. To give him a chance. This is very good,” said Turki Aalshkikh on Ariel Helwani’s channel.
“Yes, him [Wladimir] he won’t fight Usyk if he wins [against Fury on December 21st] because they are two heroes from Ukraine, they will not fight alone.”

Fury was 27 years old when he fought the 39-year-old Wladimir, but the punch stats show that he was much better than him. When you see a fight, like I do, there’s not much action from either guy. Fury was digging hard and leaning against the ropes.
It wasn’t much different than the way he fought Oleksandr Usyk, but in that fight he was being pressured by the Ukrainian. Wladimir looked afraid to throw. You have to remember that he was old, he lost his coach Emanuel Steward, who died in 2012.
Steward was always able to motivate Klitschko to throw punches, but once he was dead, that motivation was gone. He was not following the instructions of his coach, Johnathan Banks, in the corner and seemed to have no rudder.
