Novak Djokovic To Open 2025 Season In Brisbane’s Star-Studded Stadium

24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic will open his 2025 season at the star-studded Brisbane International.

The tournament announced its venue on Wednesday. Andy Murray, Djokovic’s new coach and two-time winner in Brisbane, is not expected to attend.

“I’m excited to make my Australian debut at the Brisbane International and compete again at the Pat Rafter Arena,” said Djokovic, who will be seeking his 100th tour title.

Djokovic last played in Brisbane in 2009.

Scheduled for December 29 to January 5, Grigor Dimitrov, Holger Rune, Frances Tiafoe and Nick Kyrgios are also on the list of entrants.



Djokovic, who did not win a Grand Slam title in 2024 for the first time in seven years, went 37-9 in 2024 and won Olympic gold in Paris.

He enters the season with an all-time record of 1124-222. He will seek his 25th major title and 11th Australian Open in Melbourne – the Australian Open which starts on January 12.
