Jaguar Unveils 00 Electric Concept Car at Miami Art Week
Jaguar has unveiled its first all-electric car, the i Type 00During Miami Art Week, it showcases a reimagined brand identity. The Type 00 previews a four-door production electric GT set for launch in 2025. This car will have the Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA) platform and aim for a range of 770 km (478 miles WLTP) or 430 miles (692 km EPA). The fast charging capability will allow a 321 km (200 miles) recharge in just 15 minutes.
The unveiling follows Jaguar’s launch of a new visual identity in November 2024, which reflects its evolution while sticking to its heritage. Chief executive Adrian Mardell emphasized Jaguar’s commitment to restoring its heritage of luxury and innovation, inspired by iconic models such as the E-Type. Managing Director Rawdon Glover highlighted a “fearlessly creative” approach to Jaguar’s future, combining the brand’s DNA with forward-looking relevance.
Jaguar’s transformation is part of a wider strategy for Jaguar Land Rover under the ownership of Tata Motors, which focuses on innovation and electrification. The Type 00 and its upcoming production version aim to position Jaguar as a leader in electric vehicles.
To celebrate its design ethos, Jaguar has selected gallery spaces at Miami Art Week, aligning its automotive and artistic visions. This presentation reinforces Jaguar’s commitment to art and emotional appeal as it transitions to an electric future.
