• Crucial X9 Pro (1TB) Portable SSD $80 at Amazon ($21 off): The Crucial X9 Pro is our pick for the best portable SSD, offering reliable performance for most everyday tasks in a rugged, compact design. • Kingston XS1000 (1TB) portable SSD for $64 at B&H ($21 off): The Kingston XS1000 is the best in our portable SSD guide. • Samsung Pro Plus microSD Card (1TB) for $90 at Amazon ($30 off): If you want a 1TB card and don’t mind paying for better performance, the Pro Plus is the absolute top recommendation in our MicroSD card buying guide. It tested faster than the Lexar card above in all of our benchmarks, with some edge in random speed. That means it should play better on a portable gaming PC or device like a Raspberry Pi, where it will often have to access small bits of data in random places.
