Promoter Oscar De La Hoya revealed today that he will sue Ryan Garcia if Golden Boy Promotions is not included in his eight-round showdown with Rukiya Anpo on December 30 in Tokyo, Japan.
De La Hoya said Ryan negotiated a deal behind his back for an exhibition match against Anpo, and he won’t do it because he has “world rights” to his fights. He says he wants Ryan, 26, to make money, but he must abide by the contract he has with Golden Boy.

It is not clear whether the organizers of the eight-round match between Ryan and Anpo will work with Golden Boy to bring them together for the December 30th match. Ryan wanted to get a payday and stay sharp until his one-year suspension expires in April 2025.
