Alongside the new foldable phone and flagship, Huawei has unveiled its first fully in-house mobile OS. It’s part of Huawei’s plans to build a platform that is completely free of major US technology sources, both software and hardware – because the company is banned from using some of them.
For example: the Mate 70 series follows the Mate 60, the first Huawei smartphone to use a processor fully made in China. Huawei said the new OS still needs several months of refinement to improve the user experience, but the aim is to install it on all future smartphones.
Although we haven’t tested it yet, many features and screens appear to be inspired by iOS, such as . There is also design consistency across all Huawei phones, tablets and folders. Of course, there is an AI assistant, too, called Xiaoyi.

UX filed a limited objection to the transfer of Infowars’ X accounts to The Onion in federal bankruptcy court on Monday. Jones’ assets, including the Infowars website, went up for liquidation earlier this month to raise money for nearly $1.5 billion in damages he received in a civil lawsuit brought by family members of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Onion’s parent company, Global Tetrahedron, stepped in to buy the Infowars site after getting permission from the families to accept the lowest bid. IX Corporation cites its terms of service (TOS) agreement in its objection. The TOS states that accounts may not be transferred, gifted, sold or assigned to other parties “without X’s written consent.”

Uber’s new Scaled Solutions division is a platform for “independent analysts, testers and data scientists,” according to the company’s website. Bloomberg reports that the once in-house team is now outsourcing codes and data labels to third parties, such as manufacturers of Pokémon Go and self-driving truck software company Aurora. According to the boarding FAQ reviewed by Bloombergthe contractor’s payment is distributed monthly, based on the work performed by the contractor.
