How much did each player make?

With the final event of 2024, a familiar storyline emerges.
The freshman is in contention to win again on the PGA Tour.
This year has been the “Year of the Novices” for golf’s elite circuit types, with Nick Dunlap becoming the first novice in 33 years to win on the PGA Tour at American Express in January. Dunlap turned champion and finally won again in July, but by then, Luke Clanton was making a name for himself.
The Florida State junior has consecutive top-10 finishes dating back to July, the first freshman to do so in 66 years.
As non-professionals compete more often this season, it leads to one very interesting argument: they can’t take home any prize money.
When Dunlap won again, he had turned pro, so he was able to cash the winner’s check, but Clanton, who is competing again this week at the RSM Classic in Georgia, is still competing against the Seminoles so he’s playing for free.
“I played well, I made some really stupid mistakes when I was on time,” Clanton said after a third-round 68 that left him just three over. “I think that’s kind of a departure from the experience and that sense of pressure as well. I think to get another chance to win again is amazing.”
Regardless of where he finishes on Sunday, he will take home the same payout share as his entire previous start: $0.
With that said, below is a complete breakdown of this week’s RSM Classic payout. A total of $7.2 million.
