Better on Console
Microsoft recently launched a new poster marketing campaign for laptops, TVs and phones, labeling them, “This is Xbox.” The company is shifting to focus on its Game Pass subscription and cloud streaming services. Samsung TVs now come with a Gaming Hub feature that lets you access Xbox games from the cloud, no console required. However, in my opinion the internet speed is still not there. In graphics-intensive games or FPSs that require fast response times, you’ll notice frame drops, framerate stuttering, and significant lag. As of now, there is nothing better than playing the game locally on PC or console to get the right experience.
The Xbox Series S comes with your choice of 512 GB or 1 TB of storage. The 512 GB version is currently discounted on Black Friday for $249, while the 1 TB console is still sitting at $348. Both options are capable of up to 120 frames per second and have 10 GB of RAM. The Xbox Series S serves as a more affordable entry point into the Xbox ecosystem, compared to the more robust Xbox Series X. The console also comes with one wireless controller.
The real magic of Xbox these days is in its Game Pass offering. With Game Pass, you’ll have access to hundreds of amazing games in an ever-changing catalog, just like you would TV shows and movies with Netflix. This is a great way to try and play a bunch of games you might not have spent money on and discover new hidden gems. You’ll get first-day access to any first-party titles from Xbox, Bethesda, and Activision like the latest releases. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Continue to save $50 on the new Xbox Series S console this holiday season with its new Black Friday price of just $249.
