What other projects have these anime studios worked on, you ask? However, several returned from the first volume of Ideas itself: Kamikaze Douga, also known for its work Batman Ninjadeveloped “The Duel”, and Trigger (who has worked on a range of anime projects, incl Promare, Gridman again Dynazenon, Kill La Killand so on) worked on two anthology shorts, “The Twins” and “Mdala”. Coming to Ideas for the first time a David Production–he is best known for Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure again Cells at Work!–Polygon images (previously working on a galaxy far, far away The Clone Wars again Resistance), Project Studio Q–the CG house spun out of Hideaki Anno’s Studio Khara after their 3DCG work Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Three Times Once–and Wit Studio, whose work includes The Vinland Saga, Spy x Familyand early periods of Attack on Titan.
As previous episodes of the series have ‘involved various stories such as Wedge Antilles’ building a flight academy, members of a rock band being hunted by Boba Fett, and star Wars-adapted for Akira Kurosawa’s Jojimbo it will be interesting to see what these studios come up with. Unfortunately, we may have to wait a little longer, as the press release says the third volume of Star Wars: The Visions will premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2025 with no date given. However, it sounds like it will be worth the wait.
