Hana Wakimoto remains 2 shots ahead of the Toto Japan Classic
SHIGA, Japan — Hana Wakimoto shot a 4-under 68 on Friday to maintain her lead after the second round of the LPGA Toto Japan Classic.
The Japanese player shot a 63 in the opening round and continues to set the pace with a 13-under 131 after 36 holes.
Yealimi Noh of the United States and Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand are tied for the lead after the second round. Noh shot a 65 and Jutanugarn carded a 66.
Japan’s Rio Takeda was three behind with a 65.
Canada’s Brooke Henderson shot a 71 and was 3 under, 10 strokes behind. Australia’s Minjee Lee shot 75 and was one stroke behind Wakimoto.
The Japan tournament concludes the LPGA Tour’s four-event Asian swing that includes events in China, South Korea and Malaysia.
