Brittany Lincicome will be leaving the LPGA program full-time
Two-time major title winner Brittany Lincicome announced Friday that this will be her final season playing a full schedule on the LPGA Tour.
Lincicome, 39, joined the tour in 2005 and has won eight events, including the Chevron Championship when it was known as the Kraft Nabisco Championship in 2009 and the ANA Inspiration in 2015.
Lincicome’s final event of his 20th and final full campaign will be at The Annika Drive by Gainbridge from Nov. 14 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. This young man from St. Petersburg, Florida, welcomed the release of sponsors for the event.
“I’ve had an amazing career on and off the golf course on the LPGA Tour, and I’m incredibly honored and humbled to have the opportunity to finish my last full-time season where it all started for me here in the Tampa Bay area. ,” Lincicome said in a statement.
In 400 starts on the LPGA Tour, Lincicome has recorded 151 top-25 finishes and 66 top-ten appearances while earning nearly $10 million. Her most recent victory was at the Bahamas LPGA Classic in 2018.
Lincicome, who played on six US Solheim Cup teams, wants to spend more time with his two young daughters. He told Golfweek that this is not a retirement announcement and that he intends to play in a few events each year.
