Jack Catterall fights Regis Prograis in the light welterweight final today in Manchester, England. This match will send the winner to the top of the world early next year.

It is widely believed that the 36-year-old former WBA and WBC light welterweight champion Prograis (29-2, 24 KOs) is on the line of his career. He lost his last fight in December against what should have been an unbeatable opponent and looked equally poor in his fight before that in June 2023.
A loss to Catterall will reinforce the perception many people have about him not being a world class fighter but simply a home fighter with a gimmicky style and no power at all. Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has high hopes for Catteral, but he may have to face the fact that he is not a top-class man if he is beaten by Prograis in the main event today.
