For this poster presentation, we will make a 24 inch x 36 inch poster. You can use this size poster for many purposes.

After you set the size of the PowerPoint poster, PowerPoint will ask you if you want to increase the size of your content or if you want to reduce it to ensure fit. Select Increase.

3- Add visuals

To create a great PowerPoint poster, you have to add creative elements to your slides. Click on the Insert tab and select the Image menu.

You’ll have three options to insert images – This Device, Stock Images, and Online Images. For this poster, we used a stock photo. So we chose the Stock Images option.

4- Add Text Elements

Once the image you selected is loaded into the slide. Click on the Text Box tab from the Insert menu to add a text box.

You can add as many text boxes as your poster wants. Once the text boxes have been added to the poster, you can change the font sizes, colors, and font types.

5- Add Shapes to the Poster

Click the Insert menu and select the shape you want to add to your poster.

You can write your favorite text into shape elements. Also, you’ll have options to choose Shape Fill, Shape Outline, or Shape effects. Based on the layout of your poster, you should choose the shape and color elements to personalize those elements.

6- Check that you have Installed Everything

We also added one icon from the Slide menu to make our poster look good, we added an icon from the Insert menu to the footer of the poster. You can also add your logo in place of this icon.

And finally, we added one more shape and a text box below. Your poster design will look like this:

7- Save Your Poster Design

Once your poster is ready, you should save the file. You have many storage options.

But make sure to save the file in PowerPoint. When you save a file in PowerPoint, you can easily edit it later.

To print the file, you can save it in a Pdf or JPEG file.
