LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Indiana did a lot of things right during Jeff Mercer’s tenure. There’s a reason the Hoosiers won the Big Ten in his first season at the helm and have been to the NCAA Tournament in three of the five full seasons since he and his staff took over.
Year after year they put together physical, dangerous lineups that can score runs in bunches. They’ve had pitching staffs full of top prospects and professional prospects.
