Boots Ennis Chopping a Tree, Preparing for November 9th
Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis posted a clip on social media showing him chopping down a tree as he prepares to defend his IBF welterweight title against incumbent Karen Chukhadzhian on November 9.
In the video clip, Ennis (32-0, 29 KOs) is seen destroying a beautiful tree with an axe. It is not clear who owns and whose property. Is this in Brother’s yard?
Boots Cut the Poor Tree
There has to be a better way to prepare a weak boy than chopping down trees. It’s not like Karen can punch. Why is there a need to cut down a living tree? It’s weird.
Ennis already defeated Chukhadzhian (23-2, 13 KOs) via a 12-round unanimous decision last year by these scores:
– 120-108
– 120-108
– 120-108
I hope Ennis doesn’t cut down all the trees in Philadelphia and all over Pennsylvania while preparing for his fights. Boots needs to hit the weight room or find an old tire to hammer like Artur Beterbiev does rather than cutting down valuable trees.
Ennis would not have fought Karen if his promoter, Eddie Hearn, had negotiated a fight with WBO welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr.
That is a bad sign that Hearn failed to negotiate this fight because it shows that Ennis will face problems in the future if he tries to unify the welterweight division. Ubuthi must find a clue and forget about his idea of being the undisputed champion in the welterweight division because it will not happen.
The champions know they have little chance of defeating Boot Ennis. So they’re going to ask for a ton of money, much more than Hearn is willing to pay. If Hearn puts in the purses of these champions it is $1.7 million. He would never in a million years get any champion to agree to fight the Brothers.
The only way around that is that His Excellency Turki Alalshikh can help, but why would he help? Boots is not a household name in the US, neither are the champions at 147. Hardcore fans know who they are, but not casual fans.
