Amazon’s October Prime Day sales event is here and the deals are rolling in. The Dyson V15 Detect Plus cordless vacuum retails for $700, which is a $50 discount.
This is not just a cordless vac. The V15 Detect tops our list of the best cordless vacuums for a few reasons. First and foremost, the suction power is impressive. Cordless vacuums can struggle in this department, but the V15 makes short work of “even the smallest dust and debris.” We were always shocked at how much cat hair was hidden in the carpet during our inspections.

The “Detect” in the model name refers to the light embedded inside the Fluffy Optic cleaning head, which is a brush roll intended for hard floors. This helps light up patches of dust and debris build-up, so the vacuum can do its job on the first pass. It is worth noting that this model also carries other head attachments, but they do not include the same light.
There’s also a nifty LCD screen that lets users know exactly what’s being sucked into the machine, with data on the size and quantity of debris particles. This isn’t really necessary, but it’s nice to see all the guns removed from the house during cleaning. The V15 Detect even ships with a piezo sensor that automatically switches on the internal motor depending on how dirty the floor is.
This is a slightly improved version of the V15 Detect, hence the “Plus” in the name. There is an advanced filter with this that promises to trap “99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns.”
