Amazon’s Smart Thermostat is down to $56 in this first Prime Day deal
it’s close, so the deals are starting to trickle in. The company’s own Smart Thermostat , which is 30 percent off. The regular price is $80, so this is a legitimate bargain. Not a record-low price, but darn close.
This is an awesome smart thermostat with a lot of features. It integrates with Alexa, so you can lie in bed and order bark from it to get the right temperature. Adjustments can also be made through the Alexa app on your phone, if those voice wires go dry. App control lets you change your home’s temperature remotely, which is handy when you’re on your way home from work.

This is, in fact, a Honeywell thermostat packed with Amazon’s smart technology, so it is robust, easy to use and reliable. It’s very likely that a smart thermostat like this will help save money on those monthly energy bills, as you can set schedules or make changes while, say, you’re on vacation.
On the other hand, this is a real deal thermostat, so it needs a C-wire connection or a power adapter. Both kits are sold separately. A bundle with a C-wire connector also retails for $78.
It lacks a few features found in some of its more expensive competitors, such as the Google Nest thermostat. There are no touchscreen controls and no motion sensor. The app’s voice and controls, however, more than make up for this omission.
