Verizon is down. Here’s What You Should Know About Bulk Outsourcing.
Around 10 a.m. Monday, Verizon users began reporting outages on social media and on Down Detector saying they had no service outside of SOS mode. Verizon acknowledged a “service issue” at 11:48 a.m. but had no further comment as of press time.

The issue has been ongoing since its peak this morning when it had over 100,000 inquiries – Tom’s Guide reports that the number has dropped to 40,000. Here’s what we know.
Where is Verizon Down?
Verizon’s major outage appears to be across the US with users from California to Ohio to Florida reporting problems.
Is Verizon aware of this problem?
The company is aware of the issue, although it has not yet publicly stated what caused the outage. On their website, Verizon said network engineers are working to identify and resolve the issue.
Is AT&T Down?
Although users have been reporting problems with AT&T, the company said they are not experiencing outages, and it is just a residual effect.
We are not facing a problem across the country. Our national network is operating normally. Down Detector probably reflects the challenges our customers are having trying to connect to users on another network.
