WADA’s request This is Jannik Sinner’s place The steroid case is wrong in tennis, he said Carlos Alcaraz.
Speaking to the media in Beijing, Alcaraz said the complaint is not good for the sport because it creates confusion that comes after the world No. 1 was first found “inadvertently” with the banned steroid clostebol in his system.

“I mean, after everything was decided, let’s say, before Cincinnati, that the ITIA said that Jannik Sinner did nothing wrong, and now he’s back, it’s open again,” Alcaraz said. “I think tennis is really not good, it’s not a good sign for tennis in general.
“It seems like something is happening. But, you know, after one month, let’s say, I thought it was closed, anything will happen again, Jannik is innocent, and they realized that Jannik did nothing wrong. I started to think about it and I started to think about myself.”
WADA is appealing Sinner’s case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport—and is seeking a one- to two-year ban from the world No. 1.
“It is WADA’s view that the finding of “no fault or negligence” was incorrect under the applicable rules,” WADA said in a statement on Saturday. “WADA wants a period of ineligibility between one and two years.
“WADA does not want any results to be revoked, other than those already imposed by the original body.”

Soni said he was “very disappointed” by WADA’s complaint.
“Obviously I’m very disappointed and surprised,” Sinner told reporters in Beijing. “We had three trials.
“All three of these scenes treated me well. Maybe they wanted to make sure everything was going the right way.”
Reigning Roland Garros and Wimbledon champion Alcaraz said he was surprised by the news of the WADA complaint.
“This month I didn’t know what really happened,” said Alcaraz. “I just saw this news and I was a little surprised. Okay, what’s going on now that the case is open again?
“I don’t know what it will be like in the coming months. Definitely tennis, not a good sign.”
