Blocked users will be able to see your posts

Days of “@[insert username] blocked you” the page seems to have ended. X owner Elon Musk announced a new change to allow blocked users to see posts from accounts they blocked.

Banned accounts will not be able to interact with those accounts but will be able to see their posts. A source from X told The new blocked access feature is implemented because users can now see and interact with blocked accounts by switching to an unblocked account.

Musk wanted to disable the block feature on X for a while now. More than a year ago, he started expressing (or technically, Twitter) without direct messages. He wrote that the ban “will be removed as a ‘feature'” and said it “Doesn’t make sense.”

Last May, it announced that it would implement a restricted viewer change on the platform without including a firm implementation or release date. The post said the change will be implemented to give users with blocked accounts the ability to “see and report any offensive content that you may not have been able to view before.”
