Keyshawn Davis Goes Out, Calls Out Emiliano Vargas

Keyshawn Davis had a bitter speech on social media, responding to soon-to-be welterweight champion Emiliano Vargas for his impressive, fifth-round knockout of Larry Fryers (13-7-1, 5 KOs) on Friday night’s Main Event card on ESPN at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

Keyshawn was so angry that he was shaking with rage when he talked about Emiliano. What I want to know is why Keyshawn doesn’t have the same power over Andy Cruz as he does over Emiliano. He lost to Cuban Cruz four times in the amateurs and looked shocked and mad after losing in the 2020 Olympics final.

ESPN analysts have been shining a light on Emiliano Vargas (12-0, 10 KOs) non-stop, talking about how good he looked in his victory over the Fryers. Emiliano’s endorsement on ESPN was more than anything Keyshawn has received in any of his fights.

They had good reason: Emiliano looked like a star of the future, showing power, speed, and accuracy with his win tonight. His entertainment value, coupled with his Hollywood looks, make him an unmissable Top Rank star.

ESPN’s talking heads, Bernard Osuna, Tim Bradley, and Mark Kriegel, know talent when they see it. If Keyshawn had the talent Emiliano showed, ESPN would be shining him, but he doesn’t.

He’s more of a WWE wrestler than a boxer. Top Rank should think of an exit strategy with Keyshawn because he is going nowhere, and they made a mistake signing him.

“I will beat them all [backsides] in one night, including my father,” Keyshawn Davis said on social media, reacting to Emiliano Vargas’ victory over Larry Fryers on Saturday night.

“Tell them to fix it. I will leave my father [Fernando Vargas] to his younger brother [Emiliano] that night. The Vargas brothers against the Davis brothers. I don’t care which brother and father I fight than to find again.

“Tell Top Rank to set it up. I’m not kidding. I kept my eyes on you, and I heard you speak [stuff] while you have your media exercise. I was begging you all. You’re all lucky to leave before I drag you down. I had no clue.

“You will be lucky. I didn’t know. Speaking [stuff]. However, I had ears. [A friend] he called and said, ‘Keyshawn, the Vargas brothers are speaking [stuff] About you. Tell them to stop that, but tell them they can be under my command anyway.

“They talk as if they are very popular. Y’all are another culture. You think my culture knows it, bro? What are you talking about? Speaking of which I’m not an Olympian. Do you think my culture knows it, bro? No one knows all about my culture. What are you talking about? You are crazy. “There is no comparison between the Davis brothers and the Vargas brothers,” said Keyshawn.
