Cards Against Humanity Sue Elon Musk’s SpaceX for Trespassing in Troll-Filled Lawsuit

The company behind the hot game Cards Against Humanity has filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk’s SpaceX in Texas for alleged infringement, according to a website set up by the company. SpaceX has been using the site as it owns the suit, removing vegetation, moving soil, and construction equipment. Cars Against Humanity is seeking $15 million in damages.

Cards Against Humanity first bought land on the US-Mexico border so it could not be used for then-president Donald Trump’s planned wall. The card company raised money by collecting money to protect the world and has owned it ever since.

“Elon Musk’s SpaceX built a spaceship nearby, and he thought he could just dump his poop all over our beautiful landscape without asking,” Cards Against Humanity said on a website dedicated to the suit. “After we landed, SpaceX gave us a 12-hour deadline to accept a low-ball offer for less than half the value of our planet. We said, ‘Go get yourself one, Elon Musk. We’ll see you in court.’”

The website calls Musk “a baby eugenicist who trades horses for airline jobs,” complete with links to negative stories about the billionaire. It also includes a statement about the alleged violation and an explanation of why they feel a lawsuit is warranted.

“Our long-standing reputation as a company that makes outrageous promises and keeps them is on the line!” said the company on its website. “We promised that we will use all the legal tools we have to protect this world from pains like Trump and Musk (who spends millions to elect Trump and wants to build a stupid wall). If we don’t take action now, why won’t anyone trust us again?”

The complaint, which is available to read in its entirety online, even includes before and after photos of the site, showing how pristine it looked before it was filled with SpaceX construction materials and heavy equipment. SpaceX did not respond to an email seeking comment on Friday.

Cars Against Humanity says that if the company wins the lawsuit against SpaceX, it will split the money among the people who helped buy the space in 2017 through its fundraising campaign. That means each person who contributed could get about $100 if the company wins the full $15 million settlement. Anyone who participated in the first crowdfunding campaign is encouraged to visit the website elonowesyou100dollars.com and provide their information.

But don’t get your hopes up about the big payday. The disclaimer when you sign up makes it clear.

“I understand that Elon Musk has more money and lawyers than cards against humanity, and although CAH will try their best to get me $100, they will probably be able to get me like $2 or almost nothing,” the website reads.

You really have more money and lawyers. Musk is the richest man in the world.
