A number of members of the Lebanese organization Hezbollah were reportedly injured after the explosion of the pagers they use to communicate.
Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency said the incident took place in southern Beirut, which is the base of the Iran-backed militant group, and several other regions.
A Reuters reporter reported seeing 10 Hezbollah members emerging from wounds south of Beirut.
Meanwhile, a Hezbollah official told the media that the incident was “the biggest security breach yet”.
