Jabeur, a two-time Wimbledon finalist and 2022 US Open finalist, has been plagued by shoulder pain.

Since reaching the quarterfinals at Roland Garros in June, Jabeur has been limited to 11 matches, posting a 6-5 mark in that span.
“This year was very difficult for me and as athletes, we know that recovery is part of the journey,” Jabeur said in a social media post. “Due to my ongoing shoulder injury, my medical team and I have made the difficult decision to leave the tennis circuit until the end of the season.
“While I’m taking time off to recover, I’ll be devoting myself to charity work and making sure we’re making a real difference in the world.”
