Hundreds of drivers in New York City have joined the union in hopes of better wages and working conditions. The union says a majority of the three drivers’ cooperatives (DSPs) working at the Queens warehouse have signed authorization cards.
According to a , the drivers have been planning for a year to get fair wages, consistent schedules, more work and proper paid trucks. They are part of a national protest against Amazon’s unfair labor practices and union busting efforts.

However, the union has achieved some success on behalf of Amazon workers. Last month, the director of the National Labor Relations Board stated that Amazon is a joint employer of third-party drivers in Palmdale, California.
