Israel says ‘high probability’ IDF killed US-Turkish protester

The Israeli military has said it is highly likely that its soldiers shot and killed a 26-year-old US-Turkish woman during a protest in the West Bank last week, although it was not intentional.
Aysenur Ezgi Eygi was protesting in the town of Beita, near Nablus, against the expansion of Jewish settlements on August 6.
Local media reports say he was shot by Israeli soldiers, prompting an investigation by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Tuesday’s release of the results concluded that “there is a high probability that he was hit indirectly and unintentionally by IDF fire that was not aimed at him, but was directed at the main instigator of the conflict.”
