Before announcing the new handsets during Monday’s It’s Glowtime iPhone 16 launch event in Cupertino, Apple talked about the company’s latest lineup of smartwatches. Rumors suggested that we could get the Apple Watch X instead of the Apple Watch Series 10, if the company could borrow the naming scheme from its 2017 iPhone. But that didn’t happen, the Apple Watch Series 10 is indeed. In addition to wearing the flagship, we also saw the announcement of the new finish of the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Unfortunately, after waiting for two years, the Apple Watch. The SE was not updated to the third generation. The new Apple Watch 10 opens for pre-orders today and should start shipping on Sept 20. The Apple Watch always comes in two sizes; A few generations ago, your options were 41 or 45mm case sizes. Now with the Apple Watch 10, you only get one size – much larger than the Apple Watch Ultra – with a wide OLED screen. But now it comes in two metals: Aluminum or titanium. And besides the big screen, it’s 10 percent thinner than its predecessor and much lighter.
Inside, there’s a new S10 SIP and a new built-in depth gauge, like the Ultra, for diving and other underwater activities. The accelerometer sensor will now help detect “breathing disturbances” to diagnose sleep apnea.
Apple’s latest wearable will ship with watchOS 11, which we heard about during WWDC back in June. The software comes with a slew of new health-focused features and new fitness wearables to support it, including Load Training and the new Vitals app.

The new Apple Watch 10 comes in a new polished aluminum jet black color, as well as rose gold and silver aluminum and a new Titanium. Watches start at $399. Pre-orders open on the same day as the event. Apple’s flagship store and wearable should begin shipping on September 20.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 didn’t get a y update, but it has a new black color and a new titanium Milanaise strap.
The Apple Watch Ultra 2 still comes in just one size, 49mm, and now comes in black or titanium. It costs $799 and, like everything else announced, will open for pre-orders today, with units hitting shelves on September 20.
