Children in Gaza have been given polio vaccine as a break from the war zones
The UN’s World Health Organization says it aims to vaccinate 640,000 children in Gaza, weeks after the region’s first case of polio in 25 years.
The withdrawal is contingent on a series of pauses in fighting between Israeli forces and Hamas fighters.
To be effective, the World Health Organization (WHO) says that at least 90% of children under the age of 10 should be vaccinated within a short period of time.
