Investigation into claims Israeli weapons were flown into Irish airspace

Claims that Israel Defense Forces weapons have been transported through Irish airspace are being investigated by the Department of Transport of the Republic of Ireland.
The allegations were made on The Ditch website.
It says a cargo plane bound for Israel flew into Irish airspace in early 2024.
A spokesman for the Department of Transport said that it is not allowed to carry weapons of war on Irish flights unless the Minister of Transport gives permission.
They confirmed that no applications were received, or exemptions were granted in 2023 or so far in 2024.
The plane belongs to a public transport company and the Ministry of Transport said it is cooperating with it.
On Monday, Taoiseach (Prime Minister of Ireland) Simon Harris said he wanted information about the reports.
