Franchise producer Dean Devlin said the surprise save “is very important to us, and we are very pleased with TNT’s commitment to fans by giving them the continuation of their favorite fantasy series.” He later told Deadline that it was all because of the network’s longtime general manager Sam Linsky, who he said was a team Professors “From the beginning, from the beginning.” Upon Devlin’s telling, Linsky called him and asked if it would be possible to deliver The Next Chapter from the CW to TNT, and the former “understood that the idea of bringing the show home was a great opportunity.”
Wait Professors: The Next Chapter hitting TNT sometime in 2025.
