The Last of Us season two trailer shows Ellie in danger and Joel… in therapy?
September 26th is to celebrate the event, dropping the first proper trailer for its second season grief simulator TV repair. We saw this expansion a few weeks ago, including the first glimpse of Catherine O’Hara’s character (who appears to be a therapist) and Kaitlyn Dever as an important newcomer, Abby. There’s plenty of both here, including a terrifying sequence of an infection that nearly crushes Abby under a chain-link fence.
There are a few other notable moments since The Last of Us Part II in the new clip, including Ellie’s (Bella Ramsey) encounter with an infected person in an abandoned store and the famous scene of her playing guitar for Dina (Isabela Merced). The subway part of the game is included, as well as the Seraphites and Jeffrey Wright, who repeats his own. Part II role as leader of a militant group. Of course, Joel (Pedro Pascal) appears throughout the trailer as well – he plays guitar with Ellie and breaks down in tears, apparently in therapy with O’Hara.
Unfortunately, the clip does not narrow down the release date of the season, which will air in 2025. However, HBO host Casey Bloys will arrive in the first half of next year to make it eligible for the next Emmy awards (the same. goes to the next season of The White Lotus).
Elsewhere, Naughty Dog is marking TLoU Day in its own way with a . There’s a bunch of new TLoU-related avatars and emojis to download , as well as the first Steam Deck-themed video. Meanwhile, PS Plus Extra and Premium members have free access starting today.
