The 1Password Families plan extends the benefits of an Individual company to up to five people, complete with administrative controls for managing each relative’s account. Key features of this service are password generation, auto-filling of logins and sharing, and access to all unlimited devices. Mac, iOS, Windows, Android, Chrome OS, and Linux platforms are all supported. The family plan also has shared vaults that allow members to easily share data between plan members. It also provides alerts when user passwords may be compromised or when a website is compromised.
Last year, 1Password also strengthened its security by offering passkeys to its customers, and Android support was added in March. This technology is becoming increasingly popular in online services as it replaces a password that can be guessed or stolen with a locally stored digital authentication key.
