Two action movie sequels Action Hero and Vendetta Forever are headed to VR
The first VR Games Showcase brought many VR titles such as again but two new (and very similar) articles caught my eye: Action Hero again Vendetta Forever. Both appear to be brilliant slow-motion action games that will allow you to live out your John Wick fire dreams without risking serious bodily injury or your health insurance premiums.
In is an action movie hero starring in a series of five fantasy movies including Indiana Jones-esque Nazi adventure, high tech heist thriller and Jurassic Park Chuta. Each film has four different film sequences and you provide everything from hot, gun throwing, bouldering, raptor punching (yes, you get to punch velociraptors in the face). The action is slow so you can add some style to the scene such as firing two high-level machine guns at once, taking out a nice hand to fight and not eating during a powerful explosion.
and puts you in the middle of a slow action sequence against waves of unknown enemies. It says it has a “new low-kill mechanism” so you can take on the bad guys or dodge incoming fire like an Olympic gymnast. The style is a little closer Superhot’s blank canvas scenes but with more detail.
Vendetta Forever proclaims itself as an homage to high-style “cult action” films and is filled with heart-pumping music and moves like a realistic iteration of the PC action sandbox. . The game demo is available now for Quest 2 and Quest 3.
Action Hero will be available later this year in Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest Pro. Vendetta Forever will be available in October for PS VR2 along with Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest Pro.
