As the investigation continues into the plane crash that took place in Brazil that killed 62 people, more information has emerged about the victims.

The dead include cancer doctors, a three-year-old child, a lawyer handling cases against airlines and a Venezuelan family and their dog, local media reported.

All the bodies have been recovered from the site of Friday’s plane crash in the state of São Paulo.

The twin-engine turboprop was flying from Cascavel in the southern state of Paraná to Guarulhos Airport in the city of São Paulo when it went down on Friday in the town of Vinhedo.

Pictures circulating on social media show the plane descending vertically, spinning as it falls.

The plane crashed in a residential area, but no one was injured on the ground. Officials say there is only one damaged house in the area.

Two doctors from the Uopeccan Cancer Hospital in Cascavel, Mariana Belim and Ariane Risso, were among the dead passengers.

They were among eight doctors on their way to a medical conference.

Three-year-old Liz Ibba dos Santos, the youngest victim of the tragedy, was accompanied by her father, Rafael Fernando dos Santos. His mother, a journalist, was not on the plane.

Other victims include a family returning to their homeland of Venezuela after their dreams of a new life in Brazil were shattered.

Josgleidys Gonzalez was traveling with his mother, Maria Gladys Parra Holguin, and his young son, Joslan Perez.

According to a family friend writing on social media, the three left the economic difficulties in Venezuela and moved to Cascavel, but they could not prepare Joslan’s documents, as he was born in Venezuela but grew up in Brazil.

As a result, they were returning to their homeland. Their plan was to change planes in São Paulo and fly to the north of Brazil before finishing their journey by bus.

Their dog, Luna, boarded the plane with them, because Joslan’s mother couldn’t bear to see her separated from her pet, a family friend said. The family had the dog vaccinated as required by the airline.

It added that the bodies – 34 men and 28 women – are being transported to a police morgue in the city of São Paulo, where they will be identified and released to their families.

Authorities are still trying to figure out what caused the plane to roll so dramatically.

Analysis of the plane’s flight records has already begun and the Brazilian Air Force said the first report would be issued in 30 days.
