The defending champion Novak Djokovic chose to skip the Cincinnati Open in 2024.
The tournament announced the news on Thursday.

Djokovic’s withdrawal moved Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard out of the tournament.
Djokovic won his 99th ATP title at the Olympics on Sunday. It’s been a busy season with Roland-Garros, Wimbledon and the Olympics all within two months, so it makes sense for Djokovic to choose to rest, re-energize and continue to rehabilitate his surgically repaired right knee ahead of the US Open, which starts in less than a week. three.
