Cybertruck causes Fortnite players to get Cyberstuck
Accept it. You knew this was coming. Late last month, a new DLC pack called the Summer Road Trip bundle gave players the chance to drive the Tesla Cybertruck in games like Fortnite again The Rocket League. Now a week later, several Fortnite players have posted videos of a glitch that occurs when using the Cybertruck during gameplay.
Posts about the Cybertruck glitch appeared on Reddit and YouTube. The problem occurs when you change the truck to Elon Musk’s behemoth. When you get out of the car, the bug renders your Nitro Fists, a melee weapon that sounds exactly what it sounds like, completely useless.
YouTube creator Tabor Hill tested the problem when he put a truck in a Cybertruck and drove it around for a few seconds. Instead of gently pouncing on an opponent’s soft face with Nitro Fists, the gelignite gauntlets caused his character to go into a massive, repetitive motion.
Of course, this breakdown wouldn’t be funny if the real world Tesla Cybertruck didn’t have more flaws than the Max Headroom monologue. Currently, Tesla’s truck is under its latest recall due to problems with the windshield wiper that can reduce the driver’s visibility. That’s more than the memory of the infamous stuck accelerator that happened back in April.
We’ve reached out to an Epic Games representative via email for comment. We will add it to the story as soon as we get a response.
