Vampire Panel Interview, Season 3 Tease
AMC didn’t hesitate to move forward at full speed Vampire Lestat as the next chapter of A Conversation with a Vampire and surprise SDCC 2024 attendees with a new trailer and a tease of the next season’s soundtrack.
AMC’s Comic-Con panel for Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe is featured A Conversation with a Vampire cast and crew, led by showrunner Rolin Jones, will talk about the dramatic finale of the second season, which wrapped up the events of Rice’s first novel focusing on Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson).
Before Louis’ heartbreaking romantic encounter with Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid), we were teased that Lestat would be paying a visit soon—stopping the line. The conversation‘s next season as a way to get used to it Vampire Lestat (my personal favorite of the Rice novels). “The great beauty of Anne Rice’s work is the prose. And we made a decision early on to use as much of his prose as possible,” Jones shared of the decision to continue his direct influence—and may he continue to have that writer’s room.
Watch the trailer for A Conversation with a Vampire season 3 here, where we get a taste of Lestat’s rockstar era in ways that The Velvet Goldmine and the soft voices are not at all Hozier’s.
It’s everything we wanted and more: a fortuitous collaboration between Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian), who directs the story like a rock documentary, and our beloved drama queen, who not only gives complete control over the narrative as shown above. It will be a riot to watch these two interact as they interact uncover the rise of a real-life vampire on the road to superstardom—which won’t entirely upset other vampires who prefer to stay in the shadows. Or you know…lure the ancient vampire queen out of her sleep.
AMC, knowing the value of fan service, shared a blooper reel from season two.
Vampire Lestat returns A Conversation with a Vampire season three, coming soon to AMC and AMC+.
