Transformers x Knight Rider. Kamala Harris x The Simpsons. Robert Downey Jr. x Marvel, but he’s also incredibly unique this time around. It’s been a year of crossovers at San Diego Comic-Con, but one, perhaps ironically, of both isn’t happening yet. again of course it happens Doctor Who again Star Trekbecause of the fun panel in the celebration of the two games.
“Intergalactic Friendship Panel”–brings together Doctor Who exhibit Russell T Davies and Star Trek architect Alex Kurtzman—raised eyebrows when it was first announced ahead of San Diego Comic-Con. After Ncuti Gatwa’s first season Doctor Who indifferently he said and the Doctor agreed that Star Trek is real in the universe, and he and his friend Ruby have to visit them one day, there was a lot of buzz about the potential team on the screen. That day, it seems, is still a long way off, official panel or otherwise.
“We’re not announcing anything, but if the fans can make it happen,” Davies teased during the panel (via TrekCore), “With our two states and their lawyers, we’re going to do it!”

One crossover he did are announced–an in-game event Lower Decks again Doctor Who mobile games The Badgey Directive again Lost Time. But for the most part, the panel was mainly for Kurtzman and Davies to sing about how Doctor Who again Star Trek encourage each other, and their runners in their order. One interesting question arose: if there was nothing official yet, what other episodes of the series did Kurtzman and Davies want to write?
I Star Trek the mastermind hedged his answer (“We couldn’t afford it,” cried Davies), but Doctor WhoThe showrunner jumped at one opportunity in particular. “Borg, Borg, Borg! I love the Borg! “…
Even being told by Kurtzman that the Borg has been done very well A journey for now–thank you very much Star Trek: PicardThe one-two punch of the Collective episode at the end of season 2, then blasting the Borg queen again at the end of season 3–will not stop Davies. “There’s always a way,” added Davies. “The Daleks keep coming back!”
Try not to be too surprised there, if the Cybermen come back again Doctor Who‘s next season. After all, if you can’t do it legally yet, why not go for the cyborg villains you already have at home?
