Robert Downey Jr is returning to the world of superheroes after five years – but not in the role of Iron Man that launched the blockbuster Marvel franchise.
The actor will return as Dr. Victor Von Doom, the iconic comic book villain who spawned a series of popular films.
Downey Jr appeared on stage hiding behind a Doctor Doom hat and green coat before revealing himself to the fans.
He will appear in Avengers: Doomsday, due for release in May 2026, and another installment titled Secret Wars the following year.
